Rick’s Camaros is your one-stop shop for 1968 Camaro parts. The 1968 Camaro was a First Generation F-Body Camaro, spanning from years 1967-1969. 1968 included the Z28 Coupe, Super Sport Convertible and Coupe, Rally Sport Convertible and Coupe, and the Standard Convertible and Coupe. The Camaro retained the same general appearance in 1968, but without side vent windows, a restyled center console and secondary gauge package, a more pointed front grille, divided rear taillights, and the introduction of Astro Ventilation, a fresh air-inlet system. Shock absorber mounting was also staggered to resolve wheel hop issues and higher performance models received multi-leaf rear springs instead of single-leaf units.
In addition to carrying 1st Generation 1968 Camaro parts, Rick’s Camaros has parts for all Camaro models available. We have all the parts and accessories you need to help restore your 1968 Generation One Camaro, at the best prices! Trust Ricks for all of your restoration and replacement needs for your racer, show car, street rod, or daily driver.

Since 1985... The first Camaro White Book was published in 1985. New editions followed in 1987, 1993, 1997, and 2002. We thought that last one would be the last one. But Camaro came back and now the White Book has too. Just as the car has evolved, so has the book. Camaro White Books are still pocket-sized, but with thousands of Camaro facts, options and option codes, exterior and interior colors and codes, production figures, engine block and head casting numbers, original “window sticker” prices, and a compilation of the details that make each model unique. All this is presented year-by-year...tons of information in an accessible format. White Books have never been compilations of someone else’s inaccurate, incomplete charts. These are start from scratch, thoroughly researched, beautifully presented. And the latest 1967-2011 edition is far and away the best yet. Better than ever The latest Camaro White Book has been resized by adding nearly an inch to its height. The extra space permitted the addition of more data for every model year. For starters, the book now contains V8 engine block and head casting numbers for every Camaro from 1967 through 2011. Alan Colvin, author of the superb Chevrolet by the Numbers books researched and provided this data. To our knowledge, no other single book has attempted this. Historical context has been added by including the thoughts of writers “back in the day.” Complete 2010 data is presented including production volumes for options and colors. Introductory material for 2011 is covered, including option descriptions and pricing breakdowns for coupes and convertibles. Simply put, no other Camaro book comes close. Authenticity No one’s perfect, but after a quarter century of attention to detail, the Camaro White Book has become the Camaro enthusiast’s go-to reference. Next time you’re at a Camaro event, look what’s stuffed into the back pockets of the pros. Specs 160 pages, soft bound, 4.375” x 10” vertical, 64 b/w photos, uncountable facts & figures. Learn More

Author: Joe Palazzolo Softbound 8.5 x 11" 144 pages 369 color photos ISBN 13: 9781934709023 All too often, when an enthusiast builds a high-performance engine, swaps a more powerful engine into a car, or mounts sticky tires, the driveline components simply can't handle the added torque and fail. In addition, differential, axles, and driveline parts have a limited life span under the power of a high-performance engine. Also, the proper gear ratios need to be selected and installed for maximum performance on the street, strip, or track. The performance of the driveshaft, differential, axle, and other driveline components needs to match the performance level of a particular engine, so maximum efficiency, longevity, and reliability can be realized. This book covers everything you need to know about selecting the most desirable gear ratio, rebuilding differentials and other driveline components, and most importantly, matching the correct driveline components to engine power output. Learn how to set up a limited-slip differential, install high-performance axle shafts, swap out differential gears, and select the best available products for the driveline. This book covers the Chevy 12-bolt, Ford 8.8-inch, Dana units, and many other popular high-performance axles and rear ends. In addition, it explains rear differential basics, rear differential housings, rebuilding open rear differentials, limited-slip differentials, and factory differentials.
