The motor mounts in your 1970 or 1971 second generation Camaro will need to be replaced after approximately every 50,000 miles, or if they become soaked from fluids like oil several times. From excessive use and abuse, the mounts get weak and will not secure your engine properly. The rubber from the original mounts can degrade and split, eventually leading to failure. Also, when accelerating or decelerating, if you feel or hear a loud noise from under your car, you should check for signs of fan to shroud contact on your radiator core or fan shroud. If you indeed have this fan impact, you can be sure that your motor mount is broken. The motor mounts on your Chevy Camaro are crucial for reducing vibration and extending the life of your engine and its components. If your mounts break or grow weak, it can be dangerous since this can allow the engine to shift, possibly sticking the accelerator in a full throttle position or causing the engine to push the fan into the radiator or fan shroud. Rick’s Camaros is happy to offer this new set of polyurethane motor mounts for your F-Body’s 6-cylinder or V8 engine. This pair of urethane block motor mounts will fit both the driver’s and passenger’s side, has polyurethane bushing material, and includes a zinc plated mounting bracket for easy installation. This will help to reduce any wheel hop or traction loss, and is guaranteed to be much stronger than your rubber originals. These even include safety interlock feature to ensure that the mounts don't come apart under stress. Don’t wait to stay safe and comfortable in your Chevrolet. From racers, show cars, hot rods, and daily drivers, you can trust Rick’s Camaros for all of your restoration and replacement needs for your 1970 or 1971 2nd gen Camaro!
