1974 Camaro Parts For Sale - 74 Camaro Parts

Rick’s Camaros is your one-stop shop for 1974 Camaro parts. The 1974 Camaro was a Second Generation F-Body Camaro, spanning from years 1970-1981. 1974 included the Z28 Coupe, Type LT Coupe, and Standard Coupe. 1974 marked the first major facelift of the second gen Camaros, with new front and rear aluminum bumpers, a body-color fascia above the front bumper, new taillights, a forward sloping grille, and the model length growing by seven inches. This was the first time that the Rally Sport option was not made available in the Camaro’s run. New fuel tanks increased capacity from 18 to 21 gallons, radial tires were made available for the first time, wear sensors were added to front brakes and ball joints, and keying was modified. 1974 Camaros were the only models to be equipped with seat-belt interlocks, as mandated by Federal regulation, which required fastened seat belts before the engine would start. The Type LT saw new fabrics for seats, changed interior detailing, and added sound insulation throughout the interior. This was also the last model to feature the rear window style debuted back in 1970. In addition to carrying 2nd Generation 1974 Camaro parts, Rick’s Camaros has parts for all Camaro models available. We have all the parts and accessories you need to help restore your Generation Two 1974 Camaro, at the best prices! Trust Ricks for all of your restoration and replacement needs for your racer, show car, street rod, or daily driver.

Camaro LED Electronic Flasher, 1967-1981 Part # PL-58
Required For LED Light Conversions Replaces Conventional Flasher In Stock Plug-In Location Use Two Flashers For Complete Front & Taillight Installation You'll need this electronic turn signal flasher if you convert your Camaro to LED lights. The hot set-up for vehicle running and signal lighting these days is the Light Emitting Diode or LED. Dramatically different from the original lights, their intensity and instant on/off operation really make your Camaro stand out from the crowd. LEDs have such a low electrical current draw, compared to conventional incandescent bulbs; they require an electronic "no-load" flasher in order to function properly as signal lights. Two of these electronic LED flashers are required to operate the turn signal and 4-way hazard circuits if you're installing LED front lights and LED taillights together. As simple to replace as any conventional flasher unit, you'll quickly have your new LED installation wowing all your Camaro friends. Learn More

Camaro Ignition Switch, For Cars With Non-Tilt Steering Column, 1969-1989 Part # SW-9
Mounts Under Dash On Top of Steering Column For Use With Non Tilt Steering Columns See More Photos for Pin Positions    Your Camaro's ignition switch allows the battery to send a powerful surge of electricity to the starter when the car is being started. Without this switch in good working order, you are dead in the water…or the parking lot. It also allows you to control many of the car's accessories when the car is parked while preventing accessories from running down the battery. Sometimes located on the dash or steering column, replacement can be easy with basic mechanical knowledge, hand tools and afternoon. Always reference your Camaro’s service shop manual before tackling an electrical project like this. Nothing is worse then a dead car. Breathe some new life into your baby with a high quality, new ignition switch from Ricks Camaros.     HINT: For Automatic Transmission Cars, If the engine will not crank with the car in park, push down the brake pedal and try cranking the engine with the car in neutral. If it starts, your ignition switch is good and most likely your neutral safety switch is bad.  This test is bypassing the park position in the switch and now is using the little used neutral circuit. If in neutral the engine starts the neutral safety switch is probably bad. We have the widest selection of neutral safety and back-up switches in the industry to get you back on the road. Learn More

Camaro Power Window Switch, 2 Button, 1973-1981 Part # 725200
Premium Quality Power Window Switch Replaces Original Exactly Fits 1973-1981 Camaros Correct Square Corners Mounts In Center Console   Your 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, or 1981 Chevrolet Camaro was meant to keep you comfortable while driving in nice weather. Easy-to-open windows make this happen. Power window switches route power directly to the respective door window motors and allows the motors physically raise and lower. This Camaro switch consists of the operating buttons or toggles, circuit board inside the unit, and contact points for your wiring. When you move the button or toggle, an electrical connection is made by touching contact points together and power is routed accordingly. This is one of the highest failure items on any vehicle. If your Camaro’s power window switch starts to smoke, button develops excessive play or button breaks off of the switch completely, you will need to replace the F-Body power window switch. Although extremely rare for a fuse to blow or the problem to be faulty wiring or motor, you should still check these items before replacing the Camaro power window switch. Rick’s Camaros is happy to offer this replacement power window switch with correct die cast, chrome plated, metal square “stepped bezel” and button. Completely assembled with correct black spring steel mounting clips installed, installation is sure to be easy. Nothing beats cruising in your 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, or 1981 Camaro with your arm resting over the open window. Rest assured that you can do it again with premium quality power window switches from Rick’s Camaros. Learn More

Camaro Headlight Switch, Except Rally Sport, 1972-1981 Part # 725043
Premium Quality Headlight Switch Replaces Original Exactly Fits 1972-1981 Camaros Fits All Models Except Rally Sport   Your 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, or 1981 Chevrolet Camaro was meant to be seen. It’s obvious that every time you pull into a gas station or get a crowd at the local car show, your baby really turns heads. Well, the same is true when driving at night. However, you’re finding that your Camaro is not turning heads, because no one sees you coming! Not only is having a faulty headlight switch deterring positive attention, but it is dangerous when driving at night. Over the years, these switches deteriorate leading to bad rheostats or outright failure. Symptoms that your Camaro may exhibit include a burning electrical smell from your dash when your headlights are on, inability to dim or adjust your instrument panel lights, faulty movement of the mechanical parts, or flickering of the lights. Even though your headlight switch is fairly simple to replace, we always recommend consulting your Camaro service shop manual. First, you will need to access the back of the switch where you will find a small 1/4 inch button. Pull the knob while simultaneously pressing the little button. Your headlight knob should then come out. Next, unscrew the round nut that holds the switch to the dash. Pull the switch out from behind the dash and unplug it from the harness. Then, just reverse the actions to re-install. It’s that easy. Here at the Rick’s Camaros, we always strive to bring you the best in high quality electrical components. After all, your baby deserves the best. Learn More

Camaro Instrument Cluster Circuit Board, For Cars With Warning Lights, 1970-1981 Part # 720426
Reproduction of Original With Warning Lights All 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 Camaros were equipped from the factory with printed circuits behind the instrument cluster instead of a harness to operate the gauges and lights. Not only was it more cost effective for the factory to use a F-Body Camaro printed circuit, but it saves space, weight and reduces the “rats nest” of wires typically found behind your cluster. Your Camaros printed circuit is simply a piece of plastic with conductive copper material embedded in it. Unlike solid hard computer printed circuit boards, these boards are flexible, translucent plastic sheets which operate in the same fashion by conducting electricity to the different dashboard functions. This 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 Camaro printed circuit can act as a fusible link when using the wrong fuses in your fuse block leading to damaging and costly breaks in the circuit. If your gauges fail or the instrument lighting seems abnormally dim, your Camaro printed circuit may have gone bad. To easily check this pull your Camaro printed circuit and hold it up to a light, you should be able to easily see the break. Be careful your old flexible plastic board might be brittle and rough handling may lead to more substantial damage. Ricks Camaros has sold thousands of F-body Camaro printed circuits over the years and has worked closely with a manufacturer to make sure all possible combinations of 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981 Camaro printed circuits are available for your classic Camaro. If you don’t see yours listed, make sure you let us know. We should be able to get it! Learn More
