RAM CLUTCHES PARTS & ACCESSORIES

Ram Clutches
RAM Clutches’ modest beginnings date back to 1972. From the back room of an OEM clutch rebuilding operation in Canton, OH, John Norcia and his then partner, Ray Bickar, began designing and building better race clutches for a group of local competitors, who were fed up and demoralized with their clutch performance. At the heart of this program lay the radically new RAM three-paddle ‘Cleaning Lady’ clutch disc. Until this time most racing clutches were constructed of organic materials, which provided neither the durability nor the consistency needed for competition. Though Ram forged ahead with a new poly-encapsulated spring design—pioneered and patented in 1978—the three-paddle disc evolved into the current six-paddle design, and continues to be reintroduced by various clutch specialists long after its original introduction in 1976!

Today with the resurgence of factory muscle cars, RAM is heavily involved in providing clutch solutions such as the Street Dual and hydraulics systems that allow for major modifications to the vehicle, yet still provide good street driveability, which is the premise today for all RAM Street-Strip clutch systems.

Rick’s Camaros is your one-stop shop for 1989 Camaro parts. The sought-after 1989 Camaro was a 3rd Generation Camaro. Spanning from 1982-1992, 3rd Generation Camaros were equipped with factory fuel injection, four-cylinder engines, 16 inch wheels and hatchback body styles. The slightly smaller 3rd Gen Camaros were the first built without front subframes or leaf-spring rear suspensions. Adding to the impressive all new design, 3rd Gen Camaros were also the first to feature four-speed automatic transmissions and five-speed manual transmissions. Third Generation Camaros included the Sport Coupe, Berlinetta, and Z28 models. 1989 Camaro models included the RS Coupe, RS Convertible, IROC-Z Coupe and IROC-Z Convertible. Last used in 1980, the RS designation returned for the 1989 model year. Available with either the V6 or a throttle-body-injected 5.0-liter V8, the 1989 Camaro RS models included a trim package over the base sport coupe. 1989 Camaro IROCs featured a dual-converter option that boosted horsepower to 240 that was available only with the TPI 350. In addition to carrying 1989 Camaro parts, we have parts for all third generation Camaro models available. We have the best prices and we have all the 3rd generation Camaro parts and accessories you need to help you restore your 1989 Camaro.
