5th Generation Camaro Parts

The Chevrolet Camaro was back in 2010 after an 8 year hiatus.

Initially only available as a Coupe in base LS, mid-level LT and V8-powered SS models – it is considered the best Camaro to date with retro styling borrowed from the ‘69 Camaro but with a lower, huskier stance and a completely new rear wheel drive chassis.

Built in Oshawa, Ontario, notable features of LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, and 2SS trim levels include 21 inch wheels, a 323hp V6 and 400hp V8 engines (2012 models), manual and automatic transmissions, active fuel management, and a convertible model. Also offered for the first time, is an independent four-wheel suspension. A special ZL1 model with a 580hp supercharged V8 was the fastest Camaro ever built in 2012.

An available RS package adds bigger wheels, a rear spoiler, HID headlights and smoked taillights.

The LS and LT have a 304 hp direct-injected V6, 6 speed manual transmission, disc brakes all around, independent rear suspension and 18 inch wheels.

The SS includes a V8 with either a 426 hp six-speed manual or a 400 hp six-speed automatic transmission and meatier Brembo disc brakes. It will out power virtually any Camaro that came before it with its ability to leap to 60mph in 5 seconds. Perhaps even the super rare ZL-1 of 1969.

In terms of unraveling a twisty road, the latest Camaro, thanks to a finely balanced and tuned chassis, and the aforementioned independent rear end along with quick, communicative steering, has no peer with its elders.

With a base price of $23,000, high performance in a low cost vehicle is attained.

Let Eckler’s assist you in keeping that high performance maintained for your 2010 and newer Chevrolet Camaro. We have all the latest and greatest parts, add-on’s, and accessories, with more arriving all the time.
