When your 1968 or 1969 Camaro's leaf springs are worn out, the rear starts to sag. Originally Camaros had a consistent ride height with the front end and rear end level. Rick's Camaros offers technically correct reproduction leaf springs to lift the sagging rear of your Camaro. Many 1968 and 1969 Camaros out on the road today could use new leaf springs. We here at Rick's Camaros know some Camaro owners need technically correct springs for show events. Our reproduction leaf springs feature correct clinch type spring retainers and are constructed with correctness in mind. They feature heavy forged steel construction and come with front eye bushing installed. With reproduction springs from Rick's Camaros, you'll be able to restore your 1968 or 1969 Chevy Camaro to the consistent ride height you want while maintaining the technical correctness you demand.   WARNING: All bolts at the spring mounting points should be left finger tight until all the weight of the car is put on the springs (i.e. rear end supported by jack stands). Then, proper torque should be applied to all points (torque specs available in the factory assembly manual). Failure to follow this procedure could result in one side of the car sitting lower than the other. Also, installing springs in a car under restoration can result in the body sitting 4-6" off of the rear tires. This should settle when items such as the interior and fuel tank are installed. If you are still having installation issues after double checking your installation, please call Technical Services for additional support.   NOTE: Springs are coated with an industrial black paint or Cosmoline®. The springs must be stripped and painted for a "show quality" look. All 1967 Camaros came with mono-leaf springs from the factory. To use these springs on a 1967 Camaro, you must use your original shock plates for non-staggered shocks and use the mono to multi-leaf spring conversion P/N DS-64 .
