Original AC Delco gauges and Classic Headquarters gauges are externally resisted which means they have either a ceramic or wire-wound resistor connecting two terminals on the back of the gauge which controls the sweep of the needle. There is a cheaper reproduction in the marketplace which is internally resisted and the original terminals do not fit the back of the gauge properly.NOTE:  Kit does not include temperature sender with gauges, console wiring harness or console conversion harness wiring.   WARNING: Both leads going to the Amp gauge must be HOT and run parallel to the alternator circuit. From the factory, this circuit is picked up between the horn relay and the battery junction block.
