The original 1967-68 Standard Gas Cap is curved to match up with the contour of the rear tail pan. Other reproductions on the market are curved too much, do not match up to the body and you can actually see parts of the filler neck when the gas cap is on the car. Rick's First Generation offers this superior reproduction which just needs a squirt of paint to match your car to keep your car show ready.
NOTE: In rare instances, the gas cap on a 1967-68 Camaro may sit clocked more toward the passenger’s side giving the appearance the “SS”, “RS” or the standard cap is crooked. 99% of the time, this is a result of the gas filler neck being worn out (bent) and not a defective gas cap. Please check the cap stops on the inside of your fuel filler neck and adjust them with a pair of needle-nose pliers before calling Customer Service.
